| ROOF GARDEN OFFERS CAMBRIDGE CITY DWELLERS SECRET PARADISE
Cambridge Center Roof Garden.
Those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city can now retreat “up on the roof” to a secret garden in Kendall Square. The size of a football field, this recently completed garden sits atop a six- story-parking garage overlooking Cambridge and Downtown Boston. It offers visitors formal walkways, lush lawns, café style sitting areas, park benches, domed pavilions, fountains, and multi- seasonal flowers, trees, and shrubs. The garden offers something for everyone. Materials were lifted to the roof via crane, and were installed by manual labor.
The Grand Opening was held September 18, 2001. The garden is open to the public daily 8:00AM-6:00PM
